The Ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, visited the “Hajdar Dushi” High School in Gjakova on the occasion of opening “makerspace” (creative space). In the launch ceremony Mr. Delawie also joined the mayor of Gjakova, Ardian Gjini, representatives of USAID, partners and other project officials.
“Makerspace” is a collaborative environment where students can participate in creative and practical projects in order to develop entrepreneurial attitudes and employability competencies. Together with the “Career and Entrepreneurship Center” are part of USAID Kosovo’s “Support for Adolescents After Regular Teaching” (ASSET), a 5-year program managed by the Kosovo Education Center (KEC) in partnership with Fhi360 and Crimson Capital Corp.
