KOSOVO ACADEMY FOR EDQ AND ETNJ

The Kosovo Academy for Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education (EDQ/ECHR) is a training in the field of Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education, jointly organized by kosovo Education Centre (KEC), Municipal Education Directorate (DKA) in Pristina, Council of Europe (CoE) and European Wergeland Centre (EWC). The Academy aimed to strengthen the democratic culture in the schools of the municipality of Prishtina by training educational professionals and community stakeholders, and further developing their capacity to implement and promote EQD/ECT in their schools and communities. The main activities and achievements of the project were:

  • Designing the concept and format of the Academy
  • Call for Applications and Selection Process
  • Preparatory meeting for the Academy
  • Five-day training

The academy’s expected results were to:

  1. Facilitate sharing of experiences and good practices in the field of ECTS/ ECTS
  2. Support participants in the development and implementation of the school project
  3. Encourage cooperation and partnership between various stakeholders involved in education and between participating schools
  4. Supports the creation of a network of professionals promoting EQD/NCR
  5. Facilitate the implementation of the Council of Europe Charter on ECD/ETR and the use of Council of Europe materials at local level.
