INCLUSION AND EQUITY FOR ROMA CHILDREN AND FAMILIES – KRAEEYN 4

This project aims to strengthen and position the REYN Initiative as a cohesive, innovative, competent, influential, and participative international community of national networks of professionals, paraprofessionals and practitioners well-equipped to meet the needs of Roma communities, advocating for more supportive and inclusive EU policies and working to ensure quality, inclusive and non-discriminatory support for the early childhood development to all Roma children (from birth to 10) living in 11 countries in Europe where National REYNs operate and beyond.

Project’s objectives:

  1. Strengthening the sustainability of the REYN Initiative and its community, its sense of belonging, ownership, and professionalism, and its positioning in the international and national arenas by undertaking coordinated and pertinent actions and building on strengths of each National REYN and of REYN community as a whole.
  2. Enhancing the inclusiveness and integration of early childhood services, strengthening the role of Roma parents, and supporting them in their parental roles to provide nurturing care in the home environment.
  3. Diversifying the ECD workforce, supporting the professionalization of Roma and advocating for programmatic and structural solutions for building the in-country Roma ECD workforce

Main beneficiaries:

Roma children aged birth to 10 years together with their families and communities, Roma ECD professionals and paraprofessionals in 11 countries and beyond, ECD professionals and paraprofessionals working with and for Roma children, families, and communities in 11 countries and beyond.
