International Children’s Day is celebrated on November 20 of each year to raise awareness about children worldwide, to promote children’s rights, and to improve their well-being, contributing to the creation of better conditions for their development, education, and protection from violence, abuse, and discrimination. On the same date, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration and Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Since 2003, Kosova Education Center has started implementing projects in the field of human rights, with a main focus on children’s rights. Such projects have helped and continue to help in the development of guidelines and methodologies for the protection and promotion of children’s rights in schools, the prevention of violence, the promotion of anti-discrimination policies in schools and society, and other child-centered activities.
