QUALITY OF EDUCATION IN THE REGION OF DUKAGJINI

Kosovo Education Center in partnership with the organizations Avsi (Italy) and Cesal (Spain) during 2009 conducted a research in dukagjini region, respectively in the municipalities: Peja, Gjakova, Klina, Istog, Rahovec, Junik, Decan, Malisheva. This study includes most of the schools in these municipalities. The selected schools in the research have participated all teachers and principals. To accomplish this research as best as possible, two Didactic Centers, Gjakova and Peja, were included as logistical support. This has helped to distribute and collect questionnaires by the staff of The Didactic Centers. The total number of teachers involved in this research is 1277 from the Region of Peja and 1492 from that of Dukagjini, while the number of directors is 111. The good cooperation between all parties involved in this research has made its realization satisfactory. This whole project resulted in a very voluminous report, with a lot of data and some recommendations that were then presented to all interested parties. In addition to this report, activities were organized within this research aimed at capacity building of Didactic Centers.
