EU SUPPORT FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RAE STRATEGY (EU SIMRAES)

The main objectives of the project were to improve socio-economic prosperity in the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, facilitating access to education, preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities and improving information about the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in the mainstream media.

The main results of the action were:

1. Access and maintenance of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in preschool and primary education and improving their capacities to benefit from secondary and tertiary education levels.

2. Promoting the cultural heritage of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities and developing skills for their involvement in media.

The project has included two components: Education and culture and media.
