This weekend, the first two days of the “Capacity Building for Student Council Members” training program took place at the “Nexhmedin Nixha” Technical High School in Gjakova, as part of the “Western Balkans Young Leaders Development Initiative” project.
The program aims to empower student council members and support them in developing the knowledge and skills needed to become active, informed, and responsible participants in democratic processes within their schools and communities.
During the training, students had the opportunity to learn more about human rights and democracy, as well as to develop practical skills in participation, advocacy, and initiating concrete actions. Through discussions, practical activities, and group work, the first two days created a space for exchanging ideas, collaborating, and developing the students’ abilities to play a more active role in their schools and communities. The training sessions will continue at other schools participating in the project.
