PROTECTING CHILDREN FROM VIOLENCE

The aim of the project was tosupport schools to implement Regulation QRK 21/2013 on the Protocol on prevention and referral of violence in pre-university education institutions, by strengthening the capacities of schools and raising awareness to properly address the phenomenon of violence through Mediation Teams among peers.

The project was implemented in 10 municipalities of Kosovo: Pristina, Obiliq, Peja, Ferizaj, Gjakova, Podujevo, Shtime, Klina, Suhareka and Gjilan The direct beneficiaries of the project are: children from selected schools in 10 municipalities involved in the project (Prishtina, Obiliq, Peja, Ferizaj, Gjakova, Podujevo, Shtime, Klina, Suhareka, Gjilan and Prizren) and the target municipalities.

The indirect beneficiaries of the project are: The Government of Kosovo with all listed ministries (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health), Council for Protection and Justice for Children (CEM of THE MOA).

Outcome 1: By the end of 2017, improving child protection mechanisms for violence against children in 26 schools in 11 municipalities through the implementation of the Protocol.

Outcome 2: By the end of the project, the capacities of municipal officials (20 officials/11 municipalities) have been strengthened to monitor and support schools in the implementation of the protocol.

Outcome 3: By the end of the project, the capacities of 10 CSOs (minimum 2 employees per CSOs) working in the field of child protection increase to support the implementation of the protocol. Project Partners: ForumZFD, MEST
