Mental Well-being of Young Roma Children (CHAVORE)
Overall Objective: Improving the mental and physical well-being of young children, particularly in vulnerable communities such as the Roma, by providing comprehensive support in early childhood and establishing a strong foundation for their long-term health and well-being.
Specific Objectives:
- Enhancing the mental health and overall well-being of young children in vulnerable groups;
- Building capacity among early childhood practitioners to support mental health in the early years;
- Strengthening the competencies of parents and caregivers;
- Promoting quality, inclusive, and responsive early childhood education and care services;
- Enhancing the mental health and overall well-being of young children in vulnerable groups;
- Raising awareness about the importance of early mental health support.
Project results:
- Sustainable change in societal attitudes and practices concerning early childhood mental health, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
- Long-term enhancement in the mental and physical well-being of young Roma children, laying a foundation for healthier future generations.
- Policy prioritization of early childhood mental health and well-being at national and European level.
