CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PRISHTINA

CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PRISHTINA

The specific objective of this project was to contribute to the advancement of the teaching process at the University of Prishtina, by creating a mechanism and system for the implementation of modern teaching strategies, methodologies and innovations by providing staff with opportunities for the continuous development of teaching skills. The project consortium has submitted more than was anticipated in the project document by at least 30%, thanks to efficient use of resources and smooth cooperation between the project partners. The project has created a basic group of 12 teachers’ trainers, instead of 10, has developed four training modules instead of two, and sends four training seminars instead of two, so it has become increasing the number of participants in the workshop by 40% at no additional cost. On the other hand, all other activities, such as building sustainable partnerships with partners, Didactic centers, recruitment and training of staff, development of procedures, two study visits and purchase of books for the Library Center are implemented as foresight. The return information received by the university’s trainees and management was excellent. The Center continued to operate beyond the project period, but with less successful work due to lack of support from University management. The project was implemented by kosovo Education Center (KEC) in partnership with the University of Nuremberg, University of Prishtina and the Pedagogical Academy – Linz.
