Within the framework of the project “Empowering and training young people through new opportunities – YEEP 2”, the final activities of three advocacy campaigns were carried out by students of Gymnasium “Zenel Hajdini”, in Gjilan.
These activities follow the training “The right to public representation – Advocacy” and represent the practical application of the acquired knowledge.
Main results:
• Safety at school – Installation of smoke detectors and drafting of the “Safety Passport” to address students’ requests;
• Our voice is heard – Creation of an Interactive Board for information and increasing youth activism in the Municipality of Gjilan;
• Attractive hours – Establishment of a School Activities Corner for cooperation and professional development of students.
The activity concluded with information sessions in the classrooms, promoting the importance of advocacy and youth involvement.

The project “Youth Empowerment and Training of Youth through New Opportunities – YEEP2” aims to create perspectives for improving employment and active participation in the labor market for young people from vulnerable groups in Kosovo. This project is implemented in the municipality of Gjilan, where 75 young beneficiaries of the project have developed their skills and have been trained through ongoing training and mentoring programs, and are being supported to compete in the labor market. The YEEP 2 project is being developed in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages Kosovo and is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and SOS Children’s Villages Worldwide (CVW).
