Today in Gjilan, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic “The Importance of Career Guidance for the Youth of Gjilan”, attended by representatives from local institutions, businesses and other stakeholders from the municipality of Gjilan. The roundtable was organized by the Kosovo Education Center (KEC) within the framework of the project Empowering and Training Youth through New Opportunities – YEEP 2 in cooperation with the Career Center of the “Kadri Zeka” University in Gjilan.
This meeting served as a fruitful conversation between young people, representatives of institutions, local businesses and organizations, where the importance of career guidance, real employment opportunities for the youth of Gjilan and the role of the YEEP 2 project and the Career Center of the “Kadri Zeka” University in building bridges between young people and the labor market were discussed. The results of the YEEP 2 project to date were also presented.
75 young beneficiaries of the YEEP 2 project, who have already undergone intensive training, mentoring and have been empowered with new skills.

The project ‘YEEP 2 Empowerment and Training of Youth through New Opportunities’ aims to create perspectives to improve employment and active participation in the labor market, for young people from vulnerable groups in Kosovo. This project is implemented in the municipality of Gjilan, where 75 young beneficiaries of the project have developed their skills and have been empowered through ongoing training and mentoring programs, and are being supported to compete in the labor market. The YEEP 2 project is being developed in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages Kosovo and is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and SOS Children’s Villages Worldwide (CVW).
