This weekend at the KEC Training Center marked the beginning of the training cycle of the “Peer Mediation” program – a complementary program that has emerged as a result of many years of work on the prevention of violence in schools.
On September 20 and 21, the first two training groups were held, with representatives from primary and lower secondary schools of the municipalities: Lipjan, Obiliq and Mitrovica.
Through this program, participants have the opportunity to:
• Understand the nature of conflicts in schools and the importance of communication;
• Acquire techniques and methods of peer mediation;
• Conduct mediation sessions and share the knowledge gained with others.
Peer mediation is more than a technical process – it encourages students, teachers and parents to feel part of a healthier and more inclusive community.
