Media literacy training for teachers

In our society, the discussion about the need for media education of citizens is increasingly present. Citizens are faced with an abundance of information that on the one hand can keep them well informed, while on the other hand can expose them to the dangers of disinformation and hate speech. Therefore, citizens need media education, which helps them understand and critically evaluate information. It is especially important that school children and young people are educated in this direction.
Kosova Education Center is offering a modern training program on media education. In the call for teachers to participate in the training, we received more than 500 applications. This proves the importance of the topic and the awareness of teachers about the need to integrate media education into their teaching.
Today we started the training with a dedicated group of participants. In the coming months, other groups of this training program will be organized.
