Young people from the Municipality of Gjilan, within the framework of the YEEP 2 project, have successfully completed the three-day training “The Right to Public Representation – Advocacy” at the “Zenel Hajdini” Gymnasium in Gjilan. This is the third group to successfully complete this training, which aims to strengthen the capacities of young people for advocacy, public representation and active engagement in the community.
Through dynamic and interactive sessions, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical skills that will help them plan and undertake sustainable advocacy initiatives.
During the training, young people:
• developed detailed action plans and identified challenges and opportunities to address them;
• determined the resources and budget needed to implement advocacy campaigns;
• worked in groups to build concrete strategies and clear visions on issues of importance to the community.
As a result, this group will develop three advocacy campaigns, addressing important topics for young people in the municipality of Gjilan.

The project ‘YEEP 2 Empowerment and Training of Youth through New Opportunities’ aims to create perspectives to improve employment and active participation in the labor market, for young people from vulnerable groups in Kosovo. This project is implemented in the municipality of Gjilan, where 75 young beneficiaries of the project have developed their skills and have been empowered through ongoing training and mentoring programs, and are being supported to compete in the labor market. The YEEP 2 project is being developed in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages Kosovo and is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and SOS Children’s Villages Worldwide (CVW).
